Please when would it be “our turn” for a visit from Chimamanda Adichie? By “our”, I refer to the academia and other interested groups in the South-South (specifically Delta-Edo states) who find her works and person quite inspirational and would also want to experience both “live”. We would appreciate if something like the above, which has been done in other places be scheduled for us. Thank you.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, Chimamanda is around for a short while and would be unable to grant your request. However, we will pass your request on to her.
i think chimamanda should try as much as possible to visit both private and government higher institutions in nigeria, it will not only help publicize her, it will also create some of form literary awareness among students, encourage them to read more of nigerian books and begin to regard the nigerian litetrary scene as a whole more seriously…gbenro oyewusi,,, bowen university. iwo
Thank you for your comment. Chimamanda was at American University, Yola early this year for a reading(check posts). However, since she isn’t resident in Nigeria, these visits have to be structured into her itinerary. She also organises an annual creative writing workshop to encourage young writers.
