Babs Omotowa, thought leader and author of From Storeroom to Boardroom, will be signing books at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi from 6 pm to 8 pm.

If you’re as excited as we are, here are some essential tips you need to prepare for a successful book signing event as a reader.

  1. Prepare your questions beforehand.

Don’t be that excited book lover who stands in front of their favourite author, stammering and struggling to come up with a question. Be prepared!

Think of some interesting questions about the author’s work or inspiration beforehand. And as much as posible, no spoilers! You don’t want to ruin the book for those who haven’t read it yet.

Make sure to grab a copy of Manuwa Street and From Storeroom to Boardroom in advance to get started on your questions.

  1. Have your book ready.

It’s important to bring the book you want to get signed to the event. Check that your book is in good condition, free of any markings or damage, and ready to be signed by your favourite author.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a copy yet! You’ll have the chance to purchase the books at the events.

  1. Arrive early.

Get there early to secure your spot and explore the event venue. You never know who you might meet! It’s a great opportunity to connect with other book lovers.

  1. Be respectful and courteous.

Remember, everyone’s there to have a good time and celebrate books! Be polite when interacting with other attendees or staff members at the venue. Follow all rules set by the organisers and don’t hog too much time from the author if there are other people waiting. Don’t forget to keep track of time so you don’t miss out on any scheduled events.

  1. Enjoy the experience!

Book signing events are a blast, so have fun! Take pictures, document the experience and connect with other readers. It’s a great chance to meet like-minded people and share your love of books.

So there you have it, book lovers! Get ready for our two amazing events in May with Sophie Bouillon and Bab Omotowa. Follow these essential tips, and you’re sure to have an unforgettable time. See you there!
